Something I’ve yet to see. DESCRIPTION:Slow and Steady Hikers\nThis is an exploratory hike for experienced hikers due to the elevation and loose scree. We start up the fire road then climb the steep larch ski run. Note\, the scramble at the top is easy. The larch should be nice\, and the purple and blue rocks unusual. Turn off of 90th Avenue as if you are going to the Glenmore Sailing club and take the first left before the Sailing club parking lot. Meet in the N.W. corner of the parking lot. \nThis is a 7K (+/-) moderate/continuous pace (4.5 – 5 km/hr). Approx 100 m elevation\, on dirt trails. There will be some mud\, loose dirt\, twigs and rocks. Lots of ICE in the Winter. Rolling hills and flats\, avoiding paved areas as much as possible. Let’s challenge ourselves\, get a good Huff-and-Puff\, while enjoying this amazing area! \nGEAR\nMANDATORY Sturdy hiking shoes or boots.\nA trekking pole is helpful.
