Hike: Pocaterra Ridge and Grizzly Col

Slow and Steady Hikers

***2 drivers are needed, as this is a point to point hike.***

**TRAIL DESCRIPTION:**
Pocaterra is famous for larch views. Something I’ve yet to see. Lets check it out.

We’ll start north to south, then heads to Grizzly Col.

The start time is early, but that’s in our favour to minimize the crowds that build during the day.

If you want a quick pace, this isn’t the hike for you.

**Hike Stats**
Pocaterra Ridge: 10km point to point

Elevation: 700-900m +/-

Grizzly Col: from end point of the ridge to Col 1.5-2km one way (4km total) and another 300-400m

Total Stats: 17km and 1,000 – 1,300 m

Carpooling Fee: $20 per passenger.

**Pace**
Slow on incline, moderate on flatish and descent. Will stop to take pictures and rest breaks when needed. This isn’t a race.

NO EXTREME SLOW POKES or BEGINNERS PLEASE.

Participant #: 6-8 Max

Gear (Mandatory): Microspikes, Park pass, hiking boots and clothing appropriate for the season and weather, gaiters, food, water min. of 2-3L., electrolytes, proper hiking clothing (no cotton/jeans), basic first aid kit, rain & wind gear, appropriate eye protection & sunscreen.

Recommended: hiking poles, gps
