Fossils, Lakes, and Larches
Distance: 15.5 km
Elevation: 600 meters

I don’t believe I’ve ever been up here during larch season. I plan to hike to at least the second tarn and maybe carry on into the cirque.
The hike isn’t hard but there are some steep parts. The views are spectacular from the meadows before Chester Lake and just keep getting better the higher we go.
Strong beginners should be fine with this hike. The pace will be Slow and Steady. I don’t want any speed demons along. Also we hike as a group and stop at all junctions.

The Slow and Steady waiver ( which I will supply ) and Code of Conduct are in effect.

The suggested gas fee per passenger is $25.
Including myself, I’ll need at least 3 more drivers.

Bring enough to drink and eat and dress for the weather. Key word, Layers.
